New Democrat Poll Has Terrible News For Kamala Harris

The Democrat party seems to be having a tough time of it when it comes to the selection of a 2020 presidential candidate. Some of that difficulty may simply boil down to the fact that there are so many of them. Ballotpedia has a running tally of who entered the race, and who still remains. According to their statistics, as of the writing of this article, there are still 23 candidates in the race, and five have already dropped out.

One who many considered a big “hopeful” was Kamala Harris (D-CA). However, as her campaign has progressed, she has become increasingly known for her flip-flopping on various issues, seemingly testing the wind with an outstretched finger to see which way things are blowing today, and adjusting her rhetoric accordingly. In my opinion, that is a BIG reason why her favorability is slipping with her party. {Never mind the skeletons that keep falling out of the closet.)

From The Blaze:

Support for Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) has utterly collapsed in a new poll that strengthens the frontrunner in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The poll from CNN said that the Senator from California had dropped to 5 percent support from 17 percent in CNN’s last poll.

Former Vice President Joe Biden maintains his frontrunner status with 29 percent of support.

This gives him a double digit lead over the two progressive challengers who are battling it out for second place, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) at 14 percent, and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) at 15 percent.

Harris had seen a jump in polling after she confronted Biden over his past statements on mandatory busing. She later admitted that she had similar beliefs as Biden.

Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, tied with Harris for fourth place with 5 percent.

Despite her precipitous collapse in the polling, Harris wins out over the president in a head-to-head theoretical election according to a poll from Fox News.

President Donald Trump responded to that poll by criticizing Fox News and implying that he could punish them for the bad poll numbers by pulling out of Fox News presidential debates.

“I think Fox is making a big mistake because, you know, I’m the one that calls the shots on that — on the really big debates,” Trump said to reporters.
