Ilhan Omar Burst Out Laughing After Her Presser, People Speculate Her Reason

During a press conference at the White House and again in a series of tweets, President Trump criticized people in the United States who hate the country. He said “they should leave” or otherwise change their hateful rhetoric.

While the president did not single out any individual by-name, his comments clearly referenced the words and actions of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and likely her three close-knit colleagues, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Talib, and Ayanna Pressley.

These four members, who refer to themselves as “the squad” held a presser of their own where they addressed Trump’s comments and argued Congress ought to move forward with impeachment.

During the presser, Omar and the others were asked several times about the specific elements of Trump’s remarks—accusations of hating Israel and for liking al-Qaeda.

“Can you respond to some of the president’ specific claims? Most notably that you’re a communist and you’re pro-al-Qaeda?” a reporter asked Omar.

“I will not dignify it with an answer,” the congresswoman answered. Adding, “We are no longer going to allow the dignification of such a ridiculous, ridiculous statement.”

A moment which happened after the presser, however, has some people questioning Omar’s response during the presser and asking if any of it was true.

As Omar, the other congresswomen, and their staff were boarding their vehicles and preparing to leave the venue at least one camera caught Omar laughing hysterically.
