Liberal Congressman Thinks Up To 40 Democrats Will Attempt To Go Up Against Donald Trump In 2020

Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI), the co-chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee,  predicted a crowded field for his party’s 2020 nomination battle, predicting that there could be as many as 40 candidates running against President Trump in the coming months.

That would make an incredible clown car act.

During an appearance on MSNBC Cicilline was asked to comment on the Democratic Party’s potential candidates to square-off against Trump in 2020, saying “Look, we’ll have 30 or 40, probably, great candidates running for president, because everyone recognizes how urgent this moment is in the history of our country.”

It’s urgent for Democrats, because Donald Trump has been righting the ship by repairing the damage done by decades of leftist policies, and they simply cannot have that.

Cicilline continued, “We need a great nominee, and I have every confidence we’re going to have a terrific nominee and we’re going to beat the Republican nominee in 2020.”

“There are a lot of U.S. senators, a lot of governors … a lot of people outside of politics,” Cicilline added. “We’re gonna have a big field of great candidates who will get an opportunity to sort of test their mettle during the primaries. There are a lot of great names.”

I remember when leftists made fun of 17 GOP candidates back in 2015.  I can’t imagine the hilarity they’ll have watching 40 Democrats take the stage, right?  Wrong.  You won’t hear snarky comments by liberals over this, but not to worry, I’ll be there to fill the void.

The Democrat’s estimate came just one day after former Vice President Joe (they’ll put y’all back in chains) Biden, considered the front-runner for the Democratic nomination in 2020, said he believes he’s the most qualified person in the country to be president.  And why not for this Democrat?  He’s been on the wrong side of everything since he started his political career.
