Lou Dobbs Rips Republicans For Allowing Mueller To Subvert The Presidency [VIDEO]

Lou Dobbs, a Fox Business anchor, talked about how he’s fed up with low-energy Republicans who won’t stand up and defend President Trump as his presidency is being subverted by the Deep State.

“There is a mission … to frame the president, and it is time to end it,” Dobbs said. “And I can’t find the shortest way to throw the switch and turn it off.”

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett appeared on Dobbs’ show “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” and in response to Dobbs saying he just doesn’t understand why GOP lawmakers won’t do anything to shut down Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia when there isn’t any evidence, replied saying that it’s clear that Mueller has a motive, to take down President Trump, even it it means wasting taxpayer money and harassing former Trump aides.

“It is now squarely in hands of Robert Mueller,” Jarrett said. “He is not to be trusted. He has demonstrated this by selecting an entirely partisan crew of prosecutors that he has an agenda, and the agenda is to get the president.”

President Trump, who likes to speak out when things bother him, has tweeted his frustration over the never-ending “witch hunt” and pointed out that Mueller’s team is stacked with former Hillary Clinton and Obama supporters and Democratic donors.  The Special Counsel is supposed to be nonpartisan and apolitical, but for Mueller’s team, this is simply not the case.

It’s amazing how a special counsel can go a year without a single piece of evidence, resort to looking into activities that took place years ago and have nothing to do with the 2016 presidential election, supposedly his mandate, in the hopes of nailing someone they can force to turn on Trump and save themselves from a prison sentence, and the Republicans sit back idly and watch it all happen.

“It must be a shared agenda with Speaker Ryan and Mitch McConnell as well,” Dobbs said. “Because they have the power to stand with the president here.  They’re not doing it. I watch a Trey Gowdy and Bob Goodlatte, who become low-energy and taciturn and too pious for my taste, as they consider letting the Special Counsel just simply meander through life subverting the presidency. This is an ignorance within the Republican Party that I really think has to be confronted.”

Jarrett agreed, “It’s ignorance and a certain level of laziness,” he said, adding:

“Not much happens in the halls of Congress. And they are so accustomed to not doing much. It really is a rare bird who has a backbone like a Devin Nunes, who actually stands up and says, ‘we’re going to investigate this.’ And Jim Jordan…all of these guys who have stood up and said, ‘wait a minute, this is wrong. And we’re going to investigate and get to the bottom of it…[Matt Gaetz, and Ron Desantos]–Those are strong people with convictions.”

Dobbs added: “Ryan ain’t one of ’em, and neither is McConnell.”

At least one other Republican Congressman had the stones to speak out.  Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said Mueller should Put up or shut up.

“It’s time for Bob Mueller to put up or shut up. If there’s evidence of collusion, let’s see it!” Gaetz told Fox News. “If there’s not, let’s move on…The Mueller investigation has been proven to be biased. And the American people know it’s biased!”

Some speculate that Democrats are pushing Mueller to keep the probe open as long as possible, because it eats up the airwaves and they hope to use whatever phony revelations to be sensationalized to hurt the president and the Republican Party, so it’s ridiculous that Republican lawmakers don’t see this and stand up for the president, and in essence, for themselves.  They don’t see the long game strategy being played out by Democrats.
