Republicans Hold Democrats on ICE

“Abolish ICE” has gotten too hot. Will Democrats melt away from the radical far left rhetoric? We are about to find out. Preventing Terrorism and Trafficking, Republicans are forcing the Democrats to vote on ICE. The resolution shows support of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Call it a “cooling off” vote.

On average 10 terrorists a day are removed from America by ICE.

ICE is responsible for 40% of the disruption of terrorist activities in the United States.

ICE is the largest federal contributor to the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

ICE is one of the primary federal agencies responsible for combating human trafficking.

Just because you gather large crowds to carry signs, scream loudly and spread false news, doesn’t mean you should hold public office. Especially when your minions are instigating the crowds on lies and rhetoric that can actually endanger national security.

NEW YORK, NY – JUNE 29: Activists march and rally against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) June 29, 2018 in New York City. The rally was organized by the Democratic Socialists of America and they are calling for the full abolition of ICE. Earlier this week, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) became the first sitting senator to advocate for the elimination of ICE. (Photo by Drew Angerer/Getty Images)

This is the strategy of the far left of the Democrat party.

Unfortunately, Democrats in House leadership are either so ignorant of the facts, or so mesmerized by the size of the crowds, that they are falling for and supporting the dangerous rhetoric.

House Democrats may shout “Abolish Ice” to the cameras, but the Republicans are going to make them put it in writing by calling on this vote on ICE. House leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy, backed by Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, has called for a House Resolution in support of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A forced vote on July 18, 2018 will make a public record of where each and every Congress member actually stands on the issue.

Truth and Terrorism

Authorization for ICE was passed by the House last July, 2017, with overwhelming bipartisan support. Nancy Pelosi and the very author of the recent bill to abolish ICE actually voted for the authorization of ICE.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a critical national security agency formed after 911 that stops terrorism attacks, human and drug trafficking and dangerous criminals from entering the country.

Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee Rep. Mike McCall on Fox News declared how dangerous even talking about abolishing ICE is, calling what is happening “a dangerous political game.”

“As the chairman of Homeland Security, I know what ICE has stopped coming into the country….on average stopped 10 terrorist a day from entering into the country, not to mention the MS 13, the human traffickers, the opioids, all the bad stuff that tries to get in the country. ICE stops that.”

Human Trafficking

ICE is one of the primary federal agencies responsible for combating human trafficking.

According to the U.S. Department of State, the United States is a destination country for thousands of men, women, and children trafficked from all areas of the world. These victims are trafficked for the purposes of sexual and labor exploitation. Many of these victims are lured from their homes with false promises of well-paying jobs; instead, they are forced or coerced into prostitution, domestic servitude, farm or factory labor or other types of forced labor.

For example, in June 2018 in Texas alone, ICE assisted in the rescuing of 47 men, women and children hidden in a suspected stash house in Eagle Pass Texas awaiting transportation from their human smugglers. In a second rescue near San Antonio 54 suspected smuggled aliens were rescued after being discovered inside a tractor trailer; one of those rescued remained hospitalized.

ICE also assists with stopping international sex trafficking. In May of 2018 four Mexican nationals were extradited to the United States to face sex trafficking charges. They were involved in a 16 year family run organization, sex trafficking women and children from Mexico to New York.

Politics Based on Lies

The call to abolish ICE is ridiculous and based on fake news. Worst of all abolishing ICE shows support for human traffickers, criminals, terrorists and gangs.

It started with the outrage over children being separated from their parents when illegally crossing the border. The fake story was that President Trump had somehow caused children to be ripped from the arms of their parents, put in cages and then shipped off to other locations.

The practice of separating children from the adults at the border actually started during the Obama administration after the Senate released a report on the extensive problem of children being put into the hands of smugglers, human and sex traffickers.

The truth is far different than the rhetoric. The New York Times reported in 2015 dozens of children were found in modern day slavery conditions in Ohio that had been lured from Guatemala and put in the hands of traffickers. The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations opened an inquiry after law enforcement officials uncovered a human trafficking ring in Marion, Ohio. Children were lured to the United States from Guatemala with the promise of a better life, then were made to work on egg farms. The children, as young as 14, had been in federal custody before being entrusted to the traffickers.

“It is intolerable that human trafficking — modern-day slavery — could occur in our own backyard,” said Senator Rob Portman, Republican of Ohio and the chairman of the subcommittee. “But what makes the Marion cases even more alarming is that a U.S. government agency was responsible for delivering some of the victims into the hands of their abusers.”

The National Human Trafficking Hotline shows most reports of human trafficking are from the border states of California (1,323 in 2016) and Texas (670 in 2016).

Children must be separated from the adults that have brought them illegally across the border in order to find out if the children are related to the adults and who they are.

Children Must Be Kept Safe

CNN even admits the danger facing children being brought across the border.

“smuggled children are certainly at risk for human trafficking, the United Nations’ children’s agency UNICEF and World Without Exploitation said in a joint statement.

“Smugglers also take advantage of children and their families by extorting them with threats and false promises,” they said.

ICE reported in Los Angeles 15 women and girls were forced by a family-run human trafficking organization into prostitution. As a result of the investigation, seven Guatemalan and two Mexican nationals were found guilty of conspiracy, sex trafficking of children by force and importation and harboring of illegal aliens for purposes of prostitution. They received prison sentences ranging from two to 40 years depending on their level of involvement.

Human and sex trafficking has got to be stopped at the border. Our law enforcement should not be under fire for doing so.

Children should be DNA tested with the adults that claim to be their parents or relatives. The threats on the children is far too great. Their security is more important than false rhetoric and a political agenda.

76 smuggled immigrants, including 13 children, from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala were found inside a tractor-trailer near Laredo, Tx in January 2018.

Taking Action

On July 18, 2018 the House is calling for VOTE OF SUPPORT FOR ICE, a resolution led by Rep. Kevin McCarthy. It will force the Democrats go on record in a vote that they support ICE, or not.

Too many Democrats have come out publicly in favor of abolishing ICE, among them Sen. Kristen Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Rep. Jim McGovern, D-Mass. The bill to abolish ICE was introduced by introduced by Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) and co-sponsored by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) and Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-NY).

Will the Democrat Congressmen fall to the far left hysterical rhetoric that is an anti-police and open borders? Will they be celebrated by the human traffickers and terrorists for their call to abolish ICE? Or will the Democrats get wise and put their vote with the security of America and support ICE?

We need to watch carefully and hold them accountable.

Vote on ICE

UPDATE from Fox –  7pm est 7/18/2018 –

The Resolution to support ICE passed by a vote of 244 to 35. Importantly, 133 Democrats voted ‘Present’ in order to avoid being on record voting for against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.

The resolution praises ICE for countering the narcotics trade and applauds its efforts in rescuing people caught in human-trafficking schemes.

“I am grateful to the members of Congress who today publicly declared their support for the brave, dedicated men and women of ICE,” Acting ICE Director Ron Vitiello said in a statement after the vote. “We will continue to fulfill our sworn oaths to enforce federal immigration and customs laws.”

Senate Republicans tried to approve via unanimous consent a resolution supporting ICE. But it was blocked by Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris on the floor.

Soon we will have the list of those Democrats that voted against ICE, or cowardly voted ‘present’. This will come back to them in November as they are running for reelection.
